Greater Good Events is a women-owned, run and led event planning, design, and coordination company. We take pride in working with eco-friendly vendors, to reduce our lasting impact on the environment, while making a strong impact in our communities. We do this by sourcing fair trade, ethical and locally grown and produced products, using reused and recycled items where possible, and setting up donation opportunities, from remaining food and florals to decor and clothing.

We are looking for a social media intern who has a passion for events and is looking for hands on experience in in the industry and creating social media content. The internship will start January 2019 until Spring semester (with possible extension).

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

Work closely with the founder and lead event planner on content and marketing strategies.
Manage all social media platforms.
Be involved with creative brainstorming on how best to utilize and capitalize on social media platforms.
Attend events and create posts for social media. Generate fresh content to be used across all digital platforms.
Create analytic reports (based on demographics, time of day, behavior, etc.) that include data on each post and listing.

Requirements:

Previous social media content creation.
Previous event planning and fundraising experience a plus, not a must.
Must be able to work independently but feel comfortable working in a team.
Flexible schedule as some events will run long hours (weekdays and weekends).
Must be able to travel as events are held in the New Jersey/New York area.
Superior organizational and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to take initiative.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and strong internet skills required.
